Christine Matuschewski, CEO of the STEPS clinic shares great information with a community health lens: “May 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. is “Walk with your Doc” day in BC! We will have some of our team members attending McArthur Island at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join our team and others for a walk and connection! Also, our team continues to train residents to be family physicians and a nurse practitioner who will be ready to practice this summer and next.

Huge Kudos to the team of local quilters, led by Lynda MacKenzie, who hand made quilts for every youth who will move into Katherine’s Place, the new supportive homes for youth and young adults on Tranquille Rd.

We received a wonderful email from Jennifer Krohn, GM of the Kamloops Best Western Plus Hotel. Her message: “Our owner is very interested in donating a lump sum of $2000, as he believes a newspaper is a vital part of the community. Is it also possible for us to have newspapers dropped off here?” We were happy to accept the very generous donation and add the hotel as one of our drop-off locations. Thanks so much to owner John Hampel!
