October 19 @ 10:00 am at Kamloops Art Gallery: Fall Exhibitions On View. Explore multiple shows with both local and international artists; the Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours on Thursdays. October 27 to December 8, Mondays @4:30 to 6:30 pm at Heritage House: Oil Painting for kids and teenagers 11- 18 beginners: Students will learn the basics of oil colors, including color mixing and familiarization with the tools. By the end of the ten-week session, you will bring all the acquired skills and insights together to craft a stunning oil painting. This program is in partnership with the Kamloops Arts Council. October 30 to November 4, Thursdays @ 9:30 to 11:30 am at Parkview Activity Center, Ceramics Room: Adult Drawing Still Life. This still life drawing class invites students to explore the art of observation and creative expression. Through a series of drawing exercises, students will learn to render everyday objects in a visually compelling way, experimenting with line, shape, color, texture and composition.
