The City of Kamloops Exemplary Service Awards are coming soon. Nominate someone today!

Still more to celebrate in Kamloops this month!

There are so many deserving people! Nominate someone for a City of Kamloops Exemplary Service Award: “Each year, City Council formally acknowledges individuals who have dedicated their time and service to the City. The selected citizens receive an Exemplary Service Award as formal recognition of their contributions to the community.

The nomination deadline for 2026 Exemplary Service Awards is March 13, 2026.  Nominations will be accepted in two categories: Young adult — under 30; Adult — 30 and over.” Nominees need to be Kamloops residents and nominations will not be accepted from family members of nominees. There are a few other criteria. More information can be found by calling the city at 250-828-3311 and / or on the City website at www.kamloops.ca. Local incoming Rotary Club Presidents join Rotary Leaders from across Western North America: Rob Lemire (Kamloops West Rotary), Maeghan Summers (Kamloops Daybreak Rotary), Bryce Herman (Kamloops Daybreak Rotary), Julie Kimmel (Sun Peaks Rotary), and Jackie Van Vliet (Sun Peaks Rotary) travelled to Seattle for the annual multi-district Rotary President Elect Learning Seminar. They report great learnings and heartfelt inspiration to continue, build upon, and improve the great work of our local Rotary Clubs.

Local female leaders featured on International Woman’s Day: Top Down Enterprises Inc. co-owner Roseanna Niedziejko (also a local Rotarian) will join Meghan Summers and Jackie Van Vliet to present at Sun Peaks on International Woman’s Day. Top Down Enterprises Inc. specializes in heavy equipment repair and forestry product sale and Roseanna is big promoter of women in the trades.
