Kamloops Pride Society is proud to announce that Kamloops Pride Week 2025 will be held on the week of June 9–15. The Pride Parade and Pride Festival are scheduled for Sunday, June 15 in downtown Kamloops. Kamloops Pride Week is planned by a committee of volunteers and is led by current Kamloops Pride President, Alyssa Christianson.

The decision to shift Kamloops Pride Week from August to June is a result of discussions both within the Kamloops Pride Board and through community feedback.

“There were multiple considerations when deciding to move Kamloops Pride Week,” said Christianson, “Kamloops weather in August often brings very high temperatures and smoke. Being in the middle of the wildfire season, August Pride Week faces risk of poor air quality and travel restrictions.”

Kamloops Pride has previously experienced out of town performers cancelling, low tourist attendance, and entire events being postponed due to wildfire activity near Kamloops.
