NIGHTLIFE

December 6 @ 7:30 pm at The Effie Arts Collective: Brass Camel Live with Special Guests The Houses (Where We Grew Up). Vancouver prog-funk rockers Brass Camel return to Kamloops with a high-energy set, joined by local favourites The Houses. Doors at 7:00 pm, minors welcome with an adult. Expect big riffs, tight grooves, and a packed dance floor.

December 12 @ 8 pm at the Effie Arts Collective: Kamloops Krampus Fundraising Wrap Party. Join the Kamloops Krampus crew to wrap up the season with the Krampus Fundraising Wrap Party. Kamloops Burlesque, DJ KENTIFFER, games, dancing, and so much fun! Tickets are $25 on Eventbrite. 19+ event.

December 20 @ 5:00 pm at The Night Shift on 5th: Beyond 30 Presents… Daytime Clubbing  Kamloops. An over-30s dance party with club beats, cocktails, and social vibes—without the late-night exhaustion. Dress up, grab friends, and hit the dance floor while it’s still early enough to catch your beauty sleep afterward. A fun, age-friendly twist on Kamloops nightlife.

MUSIC

December 5th at 7:30 pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church: Kamloops Choristers present “The Glow of Christmas”.  The Kamloops Men’s Chorus are featured as our guest singers at this event.  Admission is by donation.

December 12 and 13 @ 7:30 pm at Sagebrush Theatre: Kamloops Symphony – Kelson Group Pops: Christmas with the KSO. Celebrate the season with orchestral arrangements of festive favourites, carols, and holiday pop classics. The program features rich symphonic textures, guest vocalists, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Perfect for making “symphony night” part of your December traditions.

December 13 @ 6:00 pm at The Paramount Theatre: Candlelight Concerts – Queen vs ABBA & Tribute to Adele. Under soft candlelight, a chamber ensemble re-imagines iconic hits from Queen, ABBA, and Adele. With a second seating at 8:30 pm, these shows mix rock, pop, and soulful ballads in a cinematic setting. Perfect for music lovers who want something atmospheric beyond the usual holiday playlist.

December 20 @ 6 and 8:30 pm at The Paramount Theatre: Candlelight Concerts – Christmas Movie Soundtracks & Christmas Classics. Enjoy string arrangements from beloved holiday films alongside traditional carols and seasonal standards. Expect a nostalgic, feel-good soundtrack to the week before Christmas, all by candlelight.

Nov 20 to Dec 7 at Sagebrush Theatre: Anne of Green Gables – The Musical. WCT’s big holiday musical brings Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved story to life with live orchestra, choreography, and heartfelt performances. Catch this December performance near the end of the run, and watch Anne’s imagination and mischief light up the stage for all ages.

December 11 @ 7:15 pm at The Paramount Theatre: Thursday Film Series – Pan’s Labyrinth. The Kamloops Film Society continues its December programming with Guillermo del Toro’s dark fairy tale. Spanish-language with subtitles, the film blends magical realism, folklore, and historical drama. A visually rich, thought-provoking night out for cinephiles wanting something deeper than standard holiday fare.

December 16 @ 7:30 pm at Sagebrush Theatre: O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy. British comedy duo James & Jamesy return with their whimsical holiday show, blending physical comedy, improvisation, and audience interaction. A giant storm of tea, absurd characters, and imaginative staging turns the stage into a ridiculous winter wonderland. Ideal for folks who like their Christmas shows a little bit bonkers.

December 26 @ 7:00 pm at Pavilion Theatre: Laughing Stock Theatre presents Peter Pan – A Holiday Panto. Expect classic panto chaos: boo the villain, cheer the hero, and shout along with the punchlines. With flying, fairy dust, and silly songs, this family show adds a playful cap to your Boxing Day, with additional matinees and evening performances through December 30.

December 3 and 17 @ 8:00 pm at The Effie Arts Collective: Kamloops Comedy Open Mic. Kamloops Comedy Society invites new and seasoned comics to test their material in a supportive room. January 2 @ 7:30 pm at the Stagebrush Theatre: Snowed In Comedy Tour! The Snowed In Comedy Tour is back. Bigger, bolder, and funnier than ever! What started 17 years ago as a wild idea in the middle of a Canadian winter has snowballed into a full-blown national phenomenon. Come see comedians Dan Quinn, Paul Myrehaug, Pete Zedlacher, and Erica Sigurdson for a night you won’t soon forget.

December 6 @ 6:30 pm at Heritage House: Kamloops Fiddlers’ Annual Christmas Dinner & Dance. This long-running community tradition pairs a turkey dinner with live old-time fiddle music and plenty of dancing. Expect waltzes, two-steps, and toe-tapping reels, plus door prizes and a 50/50 draw. A friendly, intergenerational night out for anyone who loves to dance—even if your steps are a little rusty.

December 31 @ 7 pm to 12:30 am at St Paul’s Anglican Church: The Kamloops Social Club is hosting a New Year’s Eve DINNER DANCE! Music by Bob King. The event includes a light buffet & dessert. This is an Alcohol-Free event. Tickets are $40 per person at The Look Boutique at 426 Victoria St, Tuesday-Sat during business hours.

COMMUNITY

December Saturdays (Dec 6, 13, 20) @ 10:00 am at Mount Paul Community Food Centre: Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market. The Kamloops Regional Farmers’ Market moves indoors for the cold months, offering local produce, baking, preserves, body care, and handmade goods. Wander the stalls, chat with growers and makers, and stock up on festive treats. Note: the market typically pauses around the final week of December.

December 6 @ 11:00 am at 40 Mt. Paul Way: All Aboard with Santa. A family-friendly railway-themed event where kids can meet Santa, explore train-themed activities, and enjoy seasonal treats. It’s a great way to combine holiday magic with Kamloops’ rail history, especially for little ones obsessed with locomotives and big grown-up machines.

December 6 @ 4:00 pm at Riverside Park Bandshell: Kamloops Krampus Parade and Market kicks off! 4:00 pm parade participants gather at the Riverside Park Bandshell for music, costume contests, and announcements. 5:00 pm THE PARADE winds through the park to the Sandman Arena, where they will officially open the Krampus Market, open 5 to 9 pm. Family-friendly, fun, and free!

December 7 @ 4:00 pm at Yew Street Spirit Square (107 Yew St): NSBIA Community Holiday Festival. North Shore BIA’s annual outdoor celebration lights up Spirit Square with a 19-foot Christmas tree, festive vendors, Santa photos, hot chocolate, and live entertainment. Leashed pets are welcome, and the event is free to attend, making it an accessible neighbourhood gathering for families and friends.

December 18 @ 5:00 pm behind Sandman Centre (300 Lorne St): CPKC Holiday Train – Kamloops Stop. The brightly lit Holiday Train rolls into town for a free live concert and fundraiser supporting the Kamloops Food Bank. Bring a non-perishable donation, enjoy a set by the Barenaked Ladies, and watch as the train’s rolling stage transforms the railway into a wild pop-up outdoor venue.
